this is a collection of facts and images
of a budding brigade
that grew up too fast
chasing the impossible edge of the expanding universe
left in cosmic loneliness
burning brightly
until the void
became too immense
and they coalesced into its infinity
Earth forgot
but
they did exist
and this is my proof
i’m starting to update this.

( original page here )you can really tell that the first three panels i pretty much redrew exactly like the original.
i’ve never drawn buildings before or those angles, so i had a hard time figuring out how i would draw it my own way.
i loosened up a lot with the last two panels though!! THEY WERE TONS OF FUN. especially the fourth. it’s my favourite line. i’m gonna try harder to redraw the pages my own way, rather than trying to draw exactly like Matsumoto does.

my newest project is redrawing pages from Taiyo Matsumoto’s TEKKONKINKREET.
it’s my favourite manga/animation/pieceofwork/everythinganythingever and i’m really excited to learn about comics and drawing and STUFF by doing this.
if enough people are interested and want to do the same, i’ll open up the submissions option or something!! let’s grow 2gether!!!!!
also, if you guys are interested in drawing pages from different comics, consider submitting stuff to Sloane’s tumblr for redraws, called OTHER PEOPLE’S PAGES YEAH!!

they’re hand drawn, and i painted them with watercolours (apart from the very first image with the title and my name/face)! afterwards i scanned them in and boosted the colours with the help of Photoshop! :D

i was a butt and only just finished updating the Illustration part of my website with new work ( IT’S BEEN OVER A YEAR ). the thesis work i showed at the GradEx this past weekend is all up!new work new work!
ALSOALSO i have a small mention/feature on two sites alongside a lot of incredible artists and designers i admire!Piccsy
i’m gonna be spending the bulk of summer revamping my website. i need to replace all the handdrawn elements because i don’t even draw like that anymore. 3:

do you guys think i should separate Illustrations from Drawings? or maybe have the Illustration section divided up into Paintings / Drawings? or do you mind scrolling down to infinity to see all the images in the Illustration section?
